CHAIRMANS WELCOME

Hello, and welcome to the South West in Bloom web site. Now that you have found us if you are not already a “bloomer”  I hope you will stay and join us. We are a friendly bunch and we don’t bite, but are enthusiastic and are always ready to welcome new entries. Testimony to this is the fact many of our entries have been with us since the competition started many years ago.

South West in Bloom forms part of the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society’s) Britain in Bloom competition. It is a campaign set up to help us get the best out of the city/town or village in which we live,  both environmentally and florally. It is a great way of getting your communities working together, socially, and having lots of fun on the way.

Judging takes place in July, then late summer/early autumn a grand get together for the presentation of trophies etc takes place. The friendly rivalry ends here, while you anxiously await to see if you have beaten your opposition and won the coveted silverware.

I look forward to welcoming an entry from you,  if I have tempted you, why not send for an information pack.

Vic Verrier MBE M.Inst Hort  (Chairman South West in Bloom)
